Program Pillars
Helping Families Move from Crisis to Stability
At Intercity Food & Resource Center, our work is grounded in five core program pillars—each designed to meet urgent needs, promote long-term stability, and restore dignity to those we serve.
Our Program Pillars
1. Emergency Food Assistance
We provide families facing food insecurity with a week’s worth of nutritious, well-balanced meals, including meat, fresh produce, and essential pantry staples. Our goal is to offer immediate relief while supporting overall health and wellbeing.
2. Refugee Support Services
We help refugee families transition into American life by offering culturally sensitive support and critical resources—such as clothing, hygiene products, furniture, and community referrals. Our services foster a welcoming environment where families can build strong, stable futures.
3. Diaper & Baby Essentials Program
We ensure babies get a healthy start by supplying families with diapers, wipes, formula, and clothing. This program eases the financial burden on caregivers and promotes infant wellness during critical stages of development.
4. Furniture Program
We help turn empty spaces into livable homes by providing essential furniture—beds, sofas, tables, and more. Each delivery brings comfort, dignity, and a sense of stability to families rebuilding their lives.
5. BITESIZE; Nutrition & Education Workshops
Through culturally relevant workshops, we promote healthy eating habits, nutritional education, and chronic disease prevention. Families learn how to make affordable, nutritious meals and take control of their long-term health.
These pillars represent our holistic approach to support—meeting immediate needs while paving the way for a more stable, hopeful future.
